Introducing the Global Customer Success (GCS) Team

The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization plays a crucial role within CE&S. Role Overview: Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist within the GCS team, you will be at the forefront of building predictive models and solving a variety of predictive analytics problems. Your work will involve developing PowerBI dashboards that provide actionable insights into business processes and customer experiences. By leveraging your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and data visualization, you will contribute to making GCS a recognized hub for advanced data analytics.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will undertake a range of responsibilities aimed at improving customer experience and driving business success:

1. Translate Business Problems into Analytical Solutions

  • Work closely with business partners, analysts, and architects to understand business challenges.
  • Develop analytical requirements and build solutions that address these challenges, such as machine learning models, PowerBI dashboards, and segmentation analyses.

2. Develop Predictive Models

  • Create models that predict customer issues before they arise, allowing proactive problem-solving.
  • Use advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to forecast trends and behaviors.

3. Build PowerBI Dashboards

  • Design and develop interactive dashboards that visualize key metrics and provide insights into business processes.
  • Ensure dashboards are user-friendly and deliver actionable information to stakeholders.

4. Conduct Drivers Analysis

  • Analyze key operational KPIs using machine learning to identify factors that drive performance.
  • Provide recommendations to improve these KPIs based on your findings.

5. Create Simulations to Optimize Processes

  • Develop simulations to test and optimize business processes, helping to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Use these simulations to support decision-making and strategic planning.

6. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess a combination of technical skills, analytical expertise, and strong communication abilities. Here are the key qualifications we’re looking for:

Educational Background

  • A Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, sciences, arts, humanities, or engineering with a quantitative background is also acceptable.

Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on analytics experience, particularly in areas like Regression (Linear, Logit, Gamma), Cluster Analysis (K-Means, Hierarchical), Simulations, Time Series Forecasting, Hypothesis Testing, and Optimization Techniques.
  • Proven experience in Business Intelligence (BI) roles, with a strong background in developing analytical solutions and predictive models.

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft BI Stack: Proficiency in PowerBI is essential. Experience with data mining and machine learning tools such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, or AzureML is highly desirable.
  • Data Modeling and Warehousing: Understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with data warehousing is a plus.
  • Reporting Tools: Experience with tools like Tableau, Google Analytics, Coremetrics, and Adobe SiteCatalyst (Omniture) is advantageous.
